Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope, hosts a two-day conference every year. The conference features Dr. Karyn Purvis and is ideal for adoptive and foster parents, those considering adoption or foster care and those who are serving and supporting others, including social workers, agency professionals, church staff and ministry leaders, counselors, therapists and others.
We are confident this conference would be of use to many of our families. We’ve had staff attend the live conference in years past and they’ve returned to tell us about the important conversations and themes addressed throughout the event. Additionally, one of our recorded webinars, Parenting from a Hard Place, was presented by Debra Jones, one of the keynote speakers at this year’s event.
This year, the conference will take place on April 8 and 9 in Brentwood, Tennessee. But you don’t have to travel to be able to take part in the conference!
Attend Remotely through Live Simulcast
There are a number of locations hosting a live simulcast over the weekend of April 8 so that families and professionals can learn from Empowered to Connect without traveling far. You can find a location nearest you via the map provided on the conference site. Many of the hosts charge a fee per person, in order to recoup the cost of hosting the conference, but the fees may vary slightly between locations. We recommend that you check out all of the locations closest to you, to find the best option for your family.
