Inspiration Society of Nepal in Kathmandu provides orphaned and abandoned children a safe place to live in a nurturing, home-like setting. Without ISN and places like it, these children would likely be homeless and live on the street.
Our partnership with ISN is one example of our commitment to give back in countries where we currently or have previously facilitated international adoption. Orphanage assistance gifts from our donors provide care, protection, health and education for vulnerable children around the world so they can thrive where they live.
Like many children’s homes in Nepal today, ISN struggles to make ends meet. Intercountry adoptions with Nepal have been suspended and its government doesn’t fund children’s homes. Unlike many children’s homes in Nepal, ISN has been singled out as a model facility for providing high-quality care under ethical leadership.
How you can help
Make a financial gift through Children’s Home to ensure children at ISN receive the high-quality care and education they deserve, and to give them a chance to experience Nepal’s holidays the way every child who lives within a family does.
Dashain, a 15-day Hindu holiday, begins October 5; Tihar is celebrated November 2–5. Your gift of $200 is enough to purchase new clothes for the 17 children at ISN. $200 will also buy meat, including a goat—a traditional feast food during Dashain. A $90 donation buys sweets and fruits, and $25 provides flowers and candles, all culturally essential to celebrate Tihar.
Thank you.
