Inspirational, sharp-minded and chatty is how eight-year-old “N” is described. She could be an aspiring fashionista—she likes to pick out her outfits each day, all the way down to the barrettes she wears in her hair. She is also very driven—she won a recent field day competition and dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up. Agency staff had the privilege of meeting N and noted that she speaks some English words (in addition to Hindi) and shows sympathy and concern when a friend or other child is crying or upset. She is also a social butterfly—when asked who her best friend was, she had many names to share.
N was born with a lower limb difference, but she is still able to dance and climb without difficulty. Our staff observed that she was able to walk with a walker but noted that the social worker said she can walk without the walker but they like her to use it due to the uneven brick and ground around the orphanage grounds. N goes to school for five hours a day and her overall development appears to be on target for her age.
We cannot post clear photos of N on the publicly-accessed part of our website. Additional photos, video, and information are available to eligible families who inquire.
