Michael, age 16, is a very kindhearted, considerate and open-minded young man. He likes to be active and especially loves basketball. He also enjoys showing off his dancing skills. He would love to spend more time camping, hiking, exploring and traveling—he hopes that when he is older he will be able to afford such trips and excursions. When he’s not active, he enjoys video games and chowing down on some ice cream.
Michael is a very knowledgeable and curious young adult and would like to be informed of what is going on around him. He is enjoyable, respectful, easy to talk to and likes animals.
He is also a very fashionable young teen! When he was getting his photos taken with his child-specific recruiter, she told him he should be a model because he was so natural as he posed for each snapshot. He laughed at the idea and said he’d consider it.
Michael will need a family who would be able to provide individual one-on-one attention and care for him. He does best in structured, consistent, calm environments. He stated that he wants someone who will love and accept him. He would be open to joining a family with younger kids and pets but does not want to join a family with older siblings. He would love an active family that enjoys doing things outdoors, such as camping and traveling. This family will also need to be open to him seeing and contacting his siblings.

Michael and the team of professionals working to find him an adoptive family are open to considering families in all states, but would prefer a family that lives in Minnesota. The majority of costs to Minnesota clients adopting a child under Minnesota state guardianship are covered by a contract with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
