During the holiday season, when we all take time to be thankful for what we have and to think about how we can contribute to the causes that are important to us, we hope you’ll take a moment to help children waiting to be adopted.
For the third year in a row, we’re spending some time in December focusing on waiting child advocacy. Many of the children for whom we’ve advocated in past years are now matched with families or already home. One of these children is Tyson, who was waiting for a family in 2012. His mother shared with us, “We are so blessed to have Tyson as part of our family. He is a loving and happy little boy. He and his brother are best friends and are inseparable. His favorite things to do are play minecraft, build giant lego robots, eat hot dogs and swim. We thank God every day for his sweet giggles and fierce hugs.”
There are many children in need this holiday season. Our hope is that by advocating for these 12 children and sibling groupsĀ our community can help them find permanent, loving families by this time next year.
Each day, starting December 12th, we will post a new child or sibling group that is in need of advocacy. Please help us spread the word about their needs and ask yourself if you or someone you know could make room for one (or two siblings) more.
