Ethan is an active, curious, and funny 10 year old, waiting for a loving and supportive family. He can be shy at first, but once he gets to know someone, he’ll show them how hilarious and sassy he is. Ethan is extremely curious. He loves learning new things and going to school. His favorite subject is science, and he’ll asks lots of questions about the world around him. He is also happy to learn new life skills like cooking—especially meals with ground beef—and doing laundry, and loves to help out with these tasks. Ethan likes to play with dolls, especially princesses, and enjoys dressing up in fancy dresses and wigs. He loves Frozen and could spend hours watching different music videos of Frozen songs on YouTube.
Not only does he like watching music videos of Frozen, but for his talent show he sang “Let it Go” himself! He was too nervous to perform it in front of everyone, so he recorded it (five times to get it perfect!) and then it was played for everyone at the show. He was so nervous to see everyone’s reaction, but when the whole room started applauding, he couldn’t have been happier!
Ethan is eagerly waiting for a supportive family. Ethan’s adoptive family must be prepared to maintain contact with his birth siblings including monthly in-person visits and weekly phone calls. He would do best in a two-parent family who could give him routine, structure, and patience. He would thrive with active parents who can keep a regular and tight schedule, as he doesn’t do well with too much free time. Ethan needs a family who will be accepting of however he chooses to express himself. Also, he would benefit from a family who is prepared and dedicated for the long run, as he will likely need some kind of support his whole life.
