With beautiful, curly hair and a preppy style, Aaron is a 14 year old in foster care who loves to be around others. “When you’re around him, you can’t help but smile,” shares is Child-Specific Recruiter Kathy.
Aaron smiles a lot, too. He likes to listen to music and nursery songs on TV. He sports a glowing smile and responds to his foster mom when she talks to him in a sing-songy voice. Just hearing her say “Aaron” from down the hallway will get him to light up.
Aaron goes to a special education school where they take students on field trips and do activities tailored to each child. He really enjoys the activities they offer him.
Aaron has been doing pretty well since entering his foster home but waits for a loving, adoptive family. Because of his needs, his family must have close access to medical facilities. His family will need to be attentive to his needs, and committed to providing for him for his lifetime.
Details to Note
Aaron will have access to services and support after his adoption. The majority of costs to Minnesota clients adopting a child under Minnesota state guardianship are covered by a contract with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
