For Minnesota residents. In concurrent planning, the foster family cares for foster children until they can reunify with their birth families, but is also open to being a adoptive resource if needed.
There is a need for Concurrent Permanency Resources to care for school-aged children and older youth whose permanency outcomes are unknown at this time. This training is for relatives and non-relatives interested in exploring how to become a Concurrent Permanency Resource and in learning more about the children.
This training is specific for families who are interested in the foster care adoption program. Families are welcome to attend this training prior to applying to the foster care adoption program. We highly recommend that families also attend an In-Person or Online Foster Care Adoption Orientation Session prior to this training. Families who are currently in the foster care adoption program and would like to learn more about becoming a concurrent permanency resource are encouraged to attend as well..
To register for this training, please contact Mackenzie Moessner ([email protected], 651.255.2228).
