Miriam Reisetter, MSW, LICSW, is a School Social Worker in the Northeast Metro 916 Intermediate School District. She also has past professional experience as an Adoption Social Worker with Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. In this webinar, Miriam will share about the role of a social worker in a Level 4 school, her working relationship with parents and students, how she partners with parents to facilitate student success, and interventions she has used. She will talk about what it means to be “trauma informed” in education. Miriam will share specific suggestions she has for parents working with the school and answer any questions caregivers have. The webinar will also include a panel of parents and teachers sharing their insights on the home/school partnership in special education.
