Our G.R.O.W. (Guidance, Resources and Opportunities While you Wait) events are held quarterly (in January, April, July and October) and are open to all families in our infant adoption program that are in the home study process and beyond. These events will offer a chance for families to connect and learn about various topics from one another and adoption professionals.
Hear from a panel of adoptive families about their experiences navigating relationships with birth families. Some of the addressed topics will include expectations and how those have developed over time, safety and boundaries, navigating openness with two different birth parents, extended birth family involvement, and conversations with kids about their birth family. There will also be opportunities for waiting families to connect with one another about their experiences throughout the morning. Families who attend will leave with a better understanding of what openness looks like in adoptive families throughout the normalcy of life, as well as new connections with other waiting families to bring them a renewed sense of excitement and support in their adoption process.
Please R.S.V.P. directly to your worker if you plan to attend.
