Our G.R.O.W. (Guidance, Resources and Opportunities While you Wait) events are held quarterly (in January, April, July and October) and are open to all families in our infant adoption program that are in the home study process and beyond. These events will offer a chance for families to connect and learn about various topics from one another and adoption professionals Due to COVID-19, we will be hosting these events virtually.
About this event: A modern take on a book club, we invite you to join us as we look at media from the birth parent perspective. Families will have the option to review one of two media options — a podcast or the autobiography of a birth mother sharing her adoption story. CH/LSS staff will break individuals into small groups based on the chosen media to discuss the birth mother’s experience. There will also be opportunities for waiting families to connect with one another in small group settings. Families who attend will have a better understanding of the birth parent experience, as well as new connections with other waiting families.
Please R.S.V.P. directly to your worker if you plan to attend.
