A blurred view of a seminar audience.

Korean Institute of Minnesota (KIM) School is honored to have the opportunity to host a “Guest Speaker” series this session. Please join them in welcoming these talented members of our community and embracing the opportunity to learn from each other.

The April 7 speaker is Sarah Park Dahlen. She is an associate professor in the MLIS Program at St. Catherine University. She serves on the ALSC Children & Libraries advisory committee and the 2019 Newbery Award committee. She co-edited Diversity in Youth Literature with Jamie Campbell Naidoo and co-founded and co-edits Research on Diversity in Youth Literature. Her next books address race in the wizarding world with Ebony Elizabeth Thomas and Asian American youth literature with Paul Lai.

Guest Speaker sessions will run from 9:30a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Korean Presbyterian Church of Minnesota (5840 Humboldt Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55430). A modest donation of $10 per attendee for the program is suggested to help offset the costs to cover guest speaker honorariums. KIM requests that you complete a sign-up form and deposit the completed form with your donation in the HEART box located in the cafeteria OR register online (link below) and bring your donation on the day of the event.
