You are invited to join TBRI® Practitioner, Amanda Painter, on Saturday, January 13, for an introduction to Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) ®. “TBRI® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI® uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection” (https://child.tcu.edu).
It will be a time to sharpen your skills as adoptive and foster parents, encourage each other, and grow your support network. Childcare will not be provided. There are a limited number of seats available. Please RSVP to Sandy Miyamoto by Tuesday, January 9th: [email protected].
“In order to help our children heal, we must understand and address the differences in their brain, body, biology, and beliefs.” — Dr. Karyn Purvis
