DESCRIPTION:Join Us for Community & Connection\nConnect2Connect provides opportunities for foster and adoptive families to connect with one another and build relationships in an in-person\, interactive\, and fun way. Connect2Connect is made possible by the Minnesota Department of Children\, Youth\, and Families Permanency Support Service grant. \nChildren’s Home recognizes that Pride community families may have different experiences from the larger foster and adoptive community and want to provide a safe and dedicated space for connection with families sharing in those experiences. \nCarlson’s Lovable Llamas – Waconia\, MN\nSunday\, June 28th\, 2026\, from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm (CT)\nPlease join us for an afternoon of connection\, play\, and Llama snuggles at Carlson’s Lovable Llamas. \nFamilies should arrive at 10:30am. Our group will learn about Llamas\, spend time brushing and feeding llamas\, and then take the llamas for a walk. At 12:00pm\, we will eat lunch at the picnic tables. Lunch will be provided. \nThis event is designed for the whole family\, caregivers and kids alike\, and offers space for movement\, curiosity\, and connection at your own pace. \nWe look forward to gathering together in this relaxed\, welcoming farm setting! \nPlease note: You will receive an email with waivers for the event within a week after registering. DESCRIPTION:Children’s Home Eustis Building – Saint Paul\, MN\nThursday\, August 21 from 5:00pm–7:00pm\nCelebrate the start of the school year with us at our annual Back to School Bash! This free\, family-friendly event is made possible through the Minnesota Department of Children\, Youth\, and Families’ Permanency Support Service grant. \nThe event supports youth being cared for by relatives and kinship caregivers. Each child attending will receive a backpack and essential school supplies. Families can also enjoy snacks\, connect with community resources\, and participate in fun activities like face painting\, games\, and visits with certified therapy llamas! At this time\, this event is reserved for families providing relative or kinship care throughout Minnesota. \nWhat to expect: \n\nBackpacks and school supplies\nShaved Ice and other snacks\nCommunity resource connections\nFace painting\, games\, and therapy llamas\nOpen-house format\, drop in anytime between 5:00pm and 7:00pm\n\nGet Involved\nWe are conducting a school supply drive to support this event. DESCRIPTION:An Opportunity for Foster & Foster Adopted Youth to Make New Connections & Build Friendships\nFriday\, October 9-Sunday\, October 11\, 2026 | Camp Knutson\, Crosslake\, Minnesota\nChildren’s Home is excited to offer a special opportunity for foster and foster adopted youth (ages 13-17) to spend a weekend among peers who have shared life experiences at Camp Knutson (Camp K) in Crosslake\, Minnesota. In addition to helping foster and foster adopted youth build new connections and make new friends\, this retreat will offer an opportunity for siblings who are not currently residing in the same placement to spend quality time together and maintain their familial bond. Priority will be given to siblings who do not reside in the same household. Whether attending with a sibling or not\, every youth will gain valuable life skills that can be used long after the retreat has concluded. \nRegistration & Additional Details
