SUMMARY:Webinar: Actively Recognizing the Positive
DESCRIPTION:Join Us for a Webinar: Actively Recognizing the Positive\nTuesday\, October 27 from 7:00-8:30pm CT (via zoom).\nThe Nurtured Heart Approach® (created by Howard Glasser) is a relationship-based way to help children build self-control\, confidence\, and positive behavior\, leading them to grow inner wealth. This evidence-based method gives caregivers\, educators\, and professionals the tools to calm chaos\, build trust\, and bring out a child/youth’s inner greatness.  \nIn this session\, caregivers learn practical language and strategies to help their child(ren) feel seen\, valued\, and capable\, without overpraising or lecturing\, especially in the small moments that often go unnoticed. This is not praise or rewards\, but specific recognition that helps children build a strong inner sense of success and understand their own abilities.   \nPresented by Sarah How \nSarah is a wife and mom of four adult children\, two of whom joined their family through therapeutic foster care adoption at ages 6 and 12. She knows firsthand the joy\, complexity\, and challenges that can come with building a family. Her calling flows from a deep faith and a belief that every child\, no matter their story\, has value and greatness.  \nSarah is a Worldwide Certified Training Intensive Partner and Trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach® and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience walking alongside children\, families\, and educators. As an international speaker\, relationship coach\, and author of books for both adults and children\, she is passionate about helping caregivers and educators build strong\, healthy relationships and transform everyday behavioral struggles into opportunities for connection\, growth\, and grace.  \nAfter adopting two of their children in 2009\, Sarah began openly sharing her family’s story\, the joys as well as the hard parts\, trusting that honesty and vulnerability could encourage other caregivers walking a similar road. She draws strength from her faith community and remains deeply connected to her local adoptive community through retreats and support groups. She also understands that the journey of parenting and connection doesn’t simply end when a child turns 18.  \nAt the heart of Sarah’s books\, speaking\, and professional work is a simple belief: every child and family has the capacity to grow emotionally\, connect deeply\, discover their greatness\, and thrive together.  \nThis webinar will take place on Zoom. You will receive the link to join after registering below. \n\n \n \n Actively Recognizing the Positive\n \n \n EmailThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Number of people attending:(Required)Email(Required)\n \n County(Required)State(Required)AlabamaAlaskaAmerican SamoaArizonaArkansasCaliforniaColoradoConnecticutDelawareDistrict of ColumbiaFloridaGeorgiaGuamHawaiiIdahoIllinoisIndianaIowaKansasKentuckyLouisianaMaineMarylandMassachusettsMichiganMinnesotaMississippiMissouriMontanaNebraskaNevadaNew HampshireNew JerseyNew MexicoNew YorkNorth CarolinaNorth DakotaNorthern Mariana IslandsOhioOklahomaOregonPennsylvaniaPuerto RicoRhode IslandSouth CarolinaSouth DakotaTennesseeTexasUtahU.S. Virgin IslandsVermontVirginiaWashingtonWest VirginiaWisconsinWyomingArmed Forces AmericasArmed Forces EuropeArmed Forces PacificI am a:(Required)\n \n \n Parent/Caregiver\n \n \n \n Professional\n \n \n \n Other\n What agency are you working with?(Required)For parents/caregivers: Where are you in the adoption/foster care process?\n \n \n Waiting\n \n \n \n Temporary Placement\n \n \n \n Adoptive Placement\n \n \n \n Finalized\n Please provide any questions you have about this topic:CAPTCHA\n Submit \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Δ
