Alex is described as a sweet, kind, good-humored, and respectful 13-year-old boy. He has a calm demeanor, but can talk your ear off and isn’t afraid to show off his quirky side. As a highly imaginative teen, he loves exploring new worlds by playing Call of Duty, zombie video games, and watching scary movies. He has a sweet tooth and loves ice cream—especially the DQ blizzard of the month.
Alex also loves tinkering on hand-crafted projects and has enjoyed working on projects like building a birdhouse, woodworking, and taking apart and reassembling car and lawn mower parts. One of his favorite classes in school is shop class.
Alex is open to a parent or parents who are a single mom, a single dad, opposite-gender parents, or same-sex parents. He is not religious and it is important for him to be in a non-religious home. With a love of animals, Alex has enjoyed living in homes with dogs. Alex would love to be part of a sibling group, and ideally, have a sibling around his age. If his adoptive family does not have other kids, he would love to be in a neighborhood—rural or city—where kids his age are nearby. Being part of a community with lots of people around is very important to Alex. He maintains connections to his birth family and would need to be in a family which supports that continued relationship.
