Colby is a funny, kind, and thoughtful 15-year-old who loves being social and connecting with others. “He is a good storyteller and is very witty!” says Sara Jeske, his Child Specific recruiter. Some of Colby’s favorite activities include taking walks, spending time near water, riding his bike, and playing video games. His favorite part of the school day is recess! Being outdoors and socializing always brings a smile to his face.
If he could plan his ideal weekend, Colby would spend time outside, go on a picnic, and ride his bike. When thinking of his future family, Colby hopes they could play games together, and enjoy doing things as a family. This could include spending time outdoors, talking to one another, and engaging in fun activities and hobbies.

“Colby lives in the present moment and rarely talks about future dreams outside of wanting a family. He is open to any kind of family make-up as long as he feels love,” says Sara.
An ideal home for Colby would be in a suburban or rural area with no pets. He is open to a single or two-parent home filled with positive attention, love, and patience. It will be important for Colby’s forever family to be able to spend a lot of quality, one-on-one time with him. At times, Colby can be impulsive and defiant and will need to be supervised. “Keeping him busy is a great way to deter his impulsivity,” says Sara.
As a teenager going through many changes, it’s important that Colby finds a loving, supportive, and patient family structure to help guide and mentor him. “Colby is a great kid. He is funny, kind, thoughtful, playful, and adventurous. With the right family dynamic and nurturing environment, I believe Colby would thrive,” says Sara.
