This teen is awaiting an adoptive family in Minnesota foster care. She is a fun, outgoing, and sarcastic teen. She is enjoys going out with friends and embracing her independence as a young adult. She likes working so that she can buy her own things—she was really excited to buy a new iPhone the money she earned. She loves listening to music—especially Top 40 songs. For Christmas she asked for a Sam Smith CD. She is very smart and street-savvy: she knows her way around the city and can be quite resourceful. She is a confident and stylish young woman who enjoys primping herself by changing her hair, nails, and makeup. She is very motivated to graduate high school and is considering different options for college. She is looking for a family that will support in her future goals.
She has experienced a lot of disappointment in her life; we are looking for an family that is prepared to support her and commit to her regardless of what happens in the future. To that end, the family must be ready to assure her that they won’t give up on her, while allowing her a lot of freedom and independence. She is looking for a safe and caring family that would provide stability and a place she could call home. She would like a more laid back family who has a great sense of humor. Her adoptive family should also be excited to help her navigate becoming an adult; helping teach her independent skills such as applying for jobs and college, or practicing driving. She would do well with a family with siblings and she would love to have pets. She would like to stay in the Twin Cities metro area as she is familiar with the area and so she can hang out with her friends.
