Meet Sisters Jasmine and Jania

January 3, 2024 by kristina berg

Jasmine and Jania are two teenage sisters hoping to find a caring, supportive, forever family.

While close in age (Jasmine is 15 and older sister Jania is 16), the two sisters have plenty of individual interests and unique traits. Jasmine is friendly, helpful, and on the quieter side, while Jania is loyal, independent, and outgoing.

The girls both love spending time with friends, shopping, and doing hair and makeup. They also enjoy quality time with each other, family time, and dogs (especially Golden Retrievers!).

When thinking about their forever family and home, the girls would do best in a two-parent or single-mother home in the Twin Cities Metro area.

To help the girls thrive, a potential family would need to provide Jasmine with respect, trust, and the opportunity to be active and experience new things. Jasmine would like to have her own space and feel as though she is an active member of the family.

Jania would need plenty of independence, but also supportive guidance to help her on her journey to become a self-sufficient young adult. She is looking forward to a family who supports her goals and wants to be there to support her. She would love to have a dog or pet or some kind to care for.

“Jania and Jasmine have been let down by many adults in their life,” says Michelle, their Child Specific Recruiter. “It is essential for potential parents to be patient and caring and always show up for them. They need dependable people who they can trust to be there for them.”

With the right family, both girls will be able to develop a sense of security and stability during their important transition into young adulthood. Both girls are hopeful about the future! Jasmine is looking forward to getting a job, and Jania is looking forward to getting her driver’s license.

“Jania and Jasmine are kind and fun girls with a lot to offer,” says Michelle. “They have experienced a lot of challenges in their life. They deserve the chance to have a caring, supportive family who will be able to help guide them into adulthood. With patience, stability, and support both girls would thrive and go on to enjoy happy successful lives.”

Details to Note

Due to contracts with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the cost of adopting a child from Minnesota foster care is virtually free to families.
