International Adoptee Travel

International Adoptee Travel ServicesWe can provide support as you explore personal and cultural connections through international adoption travel.

Explore the details of our services and complete our Service Request Form to begin. We will review and inform you of any applicable fees before the start of your service.

Please note that our services involving adoption records are generally open to those with foster or adoption experiences through Children’s Home, LSS or contracted organizations. Travel support services may be available if your adoption was not through the above-mentioned organizations. Please contact us about your individual situation.


International Travel Consultation
  • Providing considerations, resources and support surrounding international adoption travel for cases where we do not offer country-specific support.
    • Country-specific support services available for Colombia and Ethiopia.
  • A service for international adult adoptees (age 18+) or adoptive families whose adoptions were completed by Children’s Home, LSS, contracted organization or other provider.
  • You can expect:
    • Pre-travel consultation with our Post Adoption staff to discuss a variety of topics related to international adoption travel including: assessing readiness, information disclosure, protection, translation, potential outcomes, etc.
    • Connection to country-specific resources.
    • Post-travel closing consultation to process your experience.
    • Connection to optional continued support and resources.
  • Fee: $150
    • If fees are a barrier, you are welcome to apply for a partial or full grant through our Adoption Support Fund (application included in service request form).

Colombia Orphanage Visit
  • Assistance arranging a visit to a Colombian orphanage or location of significance.
  • A service for Colombian adult adoptees (age 18+) or adoptive parents of minors, whose adoptions were completed by Children’s Home, LSS or contracted organization.
  • You can expect:
    • Pre-travel consultation with our Post Adoption staff to discuss expectations of your trip to Colombia.
    • Our Post Adoption staff will coordinate with our Colombian Representative to arrange an orphanage/location visit.
    • Post-travel consultation with our Post Adoption staff to discuss your experience.
    • Connection to optional continued support and resources.
  • Fee: $200
    • $150 Rush Fee applies if within 30-45 days of travel
    • If fees are a barrier, you are welcome to apply for a partial or full grant through our Adoption Support Fund (application included in service request form).

Ethiopia Birth Family Meeting & Travel Support
  • Travel and birth family meeting support services for Ethiopian adoption travel, including arranging and facilitating birth family meetings. If birth family cannot be located, we can assist in connecting to a location or person of significance.
  • A service for Ethiopian adult adoptees (age 18+) or adoptive parents of minors, whose adoptions were completed by Children’s Home or contracted organization.
    • If your Ethiopian adoption was completed by an agency other than Children’s Home or listed contracted organizations, we may be able to assist, please contact us.
  • You can expect:
    • Pre-travel consultation with our Post Adoption staff to discuss expectations of your trip to Ethiopia. If desired, we can provide guidance on assessing readiness, information protection and translation.
    • Our Post Adoption staff will coordinate with our contracted Ethiopian staff for individualized visit details.
    • Consultation with our Post Adoption staff regarding transportation and accommodation details
      • You may book these on your own or utilize our support. A cost estimate will be sent prior to travel if these arrangements are made through Children’s Home.
    • Children’s Home contracted Ethiopian staff will arrange transportation for birth family/person of significance, provide translation and facilitate meeting(s)
    • Post-travel consultation with our Post Adoption staff to discuss your experience
    • Connection to optional continued support and resources
  • Fee: $1,000
    • $150 Rush Fee applies if within 30-45 days of travel.
    • If fees are a barrier, you are welcome to apply for a partial or full grant through our Adoption Support Fund (application included with Service Request Form).

  • Supporting the exploration of personal and cultural connections in Korea since 1986.
  • We can work with adoptees from any U.S. or Korean adoption agency who live in the U.S.
  • Upcoming Dates:
    • Dragon Tour – May 30 to June 10, 2025
    • Tiger Tour – June 13 – June 24, 2025
      • Tiger Tour registration is full. Please register to be added to the wait list (bottom of page)
