A Program for Adopted Youth to Connect & Celebrate Their Identity
Open to Adoptees in 1st through 8th Grade
Our Adoption Day Camp is a four-part in-person Saturday series designed for adopted youth who have a finalized adoption. Participants will have the opportunity to get to know other adoptees through team-building activities and age-appropriate discussions about family, identity, and more.
Overview of Camp Details:
- 2023 Adoption Day Camp Dates: January 28 (registration for this event is full), February 25 (registration for this event is full), March 25, and April 29.
- Cost to attend: $10 per child, per event (non-refundable). You will receive an invoice for payment after completing your online registration.
- You may register for one, two, three, or all four events!
Adoptive Parent Virtual Lunches
As part of our Adoption Day Camp experience, parents will also have the opportunity to connect! Our Family Support Coach, Kelly Tronstad will host a virtual lunch from Noon-1 p.m. the Monday after each camp event. You will automatically be sent a link to join if your child(ren) were registered for the event.

Day 1: Exploring Identity Through Art & Science
Saturday, January 28, 2023, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Children’s Home Main Office – 1605 Eustis Street, St. Paul, MN
During our first day-camp event, youth will explore the theme of identity while engaging in hands-on art and science projects. We will be joined by a guest artist and by The Works Museum as they lead youth in two awesome activities!

Day 2: Family & Connection
Saturday, February 25, 2023, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Children’s Home Main Office, 1605 Eustis Street, St. Paul, MN
During the second camp event, youth will connect with same-age adoptees through team-building activities. We will also view an animated film to help campers explore the concept of family. Registration Deadline: Friday, February 17, 2023.

Day 3: Climb to New Heights!
Saturday, March 25, 2023, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Drop off at Vertical Endeavors – 855 Phalen Blvd, St. Paul, MN
Pick up at Children’s Home Main Office – 1605 Eustis Street, St. Paul, MN
Let’s climb! Participants will meet at Vertical Endeavors to cheer on their fellow campers as they rise to the challenge of an indoor rock wall! They will then have the opportunity to explore how to rise to the challenge of controlling their adoption narrative. Registration Deadline: Friday, March 17, 2023.

Day 4: Celebrating Adoptees & Adoptive Families
Saturday, April 29, 2023, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. | Children’s Home Main Office, 1605 Eustis Street, St. Paul, MN
For our final day camp event, parents are invited to join their youth and hear from a panel of older adoptees about their experiences. Families will connect over a picnic lunch, followed by games and activities for the whole family. Registration Deadline: Friday, April 21, 2023.
