Meet a Talkative Toddler: A child waiting this December

December 14, 2017 by Staff Contributor

JH is photographed as shown in this picture.HJ celebrated his second birthday this summer and is known as a talkative boy. He feeds himself fruit, yogurt and potatoes. He sleeps well in dark rooms and can be comforted by being patted on the back.

HJ can follow simple instructions, build towers of blocks, point to body parts when asked, and copies his foster mother when she is doing chores. He likes to play with toys, books, and play hide and seek. HJ attends music and art class weekly. It is noted that he gets along well with other children.  HJ has a sensitive background history to consider.

We cannot share identifiable photos or medical information of HJ on our public site but information and many photos are available for families who inquire.

General Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must be heterosexual couples married at least three years. All applicants should be free of serious physical or mental illness, and criminal history. There are various age requirements for adopting a child from HJ’s country, so please inquire to learn more.

Learn More About HJ

You can learn more about HJ by emailing [email protected] and referencing 117-06. HJ’s adoptive family is eligible for a child-specific grant of $5000 (eligible through 1/15/2018). Eligible families may also qualify for a grant through CH/LSS and Brittany’s Hope Foundation.

Meet oTHER WAITING CHILDREN

During December we are advocating for 12 children and sibling groups who currently wait for families. We appreciate any time you take to get to know these children and consider whether your family, or a family you know, could be theirs.
