Ariyah is a friendly, loyal and kind 13-year-old who enjoys spending time with her family and friends, whether it’s getting their hair and nails done together, shopping or going out for dinner. She also loves going swimming and any excuse to get dressed up. When she grows up, Ariyah thinks she would like to become a social worker or nurse.
The ideal family for Ariyah would be a two-parent household or a single female home. She would do best in a home with no other siblings or with older siblings. She does not like being compared to other people or her peers and needs a family who will treat her as an individual. Ariyah likes pets and would do well with a cat or a dog.
Ariyah is close with her siblings who live in the Twin Cities, and she would do best with a family located in the metro area (preferably a suburb) so she can continue to spend time with them. It is important that she can talk to them when she wants to in between visits as well. “Ariyah is very loyal and has a strong sense of family,” says Michelle Deibert, her child specific recruiter. “She loves her sisters and feels the need to protect them and know that they are safe even though she can’t be with them.”
Ariyah has high needs and proximity to the metro area is important to maintain access to the services she requires. She will thrive in a consistent and patient family that provides her with one-on-one attention and a stable, calm environment with good boundaries and structure to help her develop her independent living skills, while still allowing her to be a kid.
“Ariyah deserves the chance to be a kid and to have the opportunity to have all her needs met in a safe and nurturing environment,” says Michelle. “She wants a forever family that will protect and love her unconditionally.”
