Evie is 12 years old and is a kind, funny and artistic kid waiting to be adopted who loves doing crafts and fun activities. She recently did an escape room and really enjoyed it. Her favorite subject in school is art, and she hopes to be a fashion designer when she is older.
Outside of school, Evie enjoys swimming, doing her nails and hair, and photography. For Evie, an ideal family day would include crafts, an outside activity, eating seafood and ending the day with a movie. Lately, she has been really enjoying the series Descendents on Disney.
Evie would thrive best in a city or surrounding suburb as the only child in the home. “She thrives off of one-on-one care and attention,” said her child specific recruiter (CSR) Hayley. “It’s important that Evie is part of a family that can provide consistency, structure and acceptance.” Evie is open to any parental configuration but would especially like a single mother and would be okay with pets in the home.
It is important that a future family and Evie stay committed to maintaining services that support her needs. At this time, Evie does not have any current birth family connections. It is important that a future family can support her by being patient, accepting and providing her with a consistent structure in her everyday life.
“Evie is a very kind and engaging youth who is waiting to be adopted and would bring a spark or creativity to a family,” says Hayley. “She is a wonderful kid who really wants to be a part of a family.”

Due to contracts with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, the cost of adopting a child from Minnesota foster care is virtually free to families.
