Karlitos is an active and humorous 12-year-old waiting for his forever home who loves being adventurous and trying any kind of sport. His favorite subject in school is PE and he loves spending time with sister.
An ideal weekend for Karlitos would include playing video games, playing soccer and spending time with his sister. Karlitos and his child specific recruiter, Colleen, love spending time doing something active, fun, and new. “He loves exploring new places and activities, and spending it with his sister,” says Colleen.

When thinking about his forever home, Karlitos would do best in a two-parent household with routine, structure and consistency. He’d prefer to live in the city or a suburb of the metro area. There are no concerns with pets in the home, and he is open to having siblings in the home but would do best with older siblings to avoid sibling conflict.
“Karlitos has a younger sister who he is very close to and maintaining that relationship would be very important to him post adoption,” says Colleen. The best way to support this is having a relationship with his sister’s family and supporting Karlitos with sibling visits and calls. Karlitos also has a close relationship with his grandmother.
Karlitos has a speech and language impairment where he uses an IEP for Specific Learning Disability. The best way to manage this is to continue utilizing existing resources and services and supporting Karlitos. Colleen says, “Karltios would need a family who is willing to support his education needs and work with him on building his self-confidence.”
“Karlitos is a fun-loving and spirited youth who thrives with connection and care,” says Collene. “He would be a wonderful fit for a family ready to meet him where he’s at, offering unconditional love, patience, and support as he continues to grow,”
Details to Note
