Waiting Children of December | Meet Willie

December 18, 2015 by Staff Contributor

Willie, age 18, is pictured in a black button down and red vest and tie.Willie waits in Minnesota foster care for a family

Willie, age 18, is an easy-going and well-mannered young man. Willie has big dreams and high aspirations for himself. The sky is the limit for this young man! Willie is always willing to lend a hand and he enjoys socializing with others. He likes sports, especially basketball, and enjoys playing video games. Willie is actively involved in his church, and his faith plays a major role in his life. He has a special interest in music and even plays the drums during his church services. Willie plans to attend barber school now that he has graduated high school. Willie remains optimistic that he will be adopted even after the age of 18.

Family is very important to this young man, and he cares deeply for his younger siblings, who live out of state. It is imperative that the siblings stay connected. He enjoys the comfort that comes with stability and thrives in a nurturing environment where he is encouraged to explore his interests and talents and allowed the freedom to dream. He does great with other kids in the home. Willie is very eager to be adopted into a loving and supportive family.

details To note

Because Willie waits in Minnesota foster care, only Minnesota residents are eligible to adopt him. The majority of costs to clients adopting a child under Minnesota state guardianship are covered by a contract with the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Learn More About Willie

If you would like to know more about this teen, please contact Katelyn Vonch (651.255.2249, [email protected]). Families will have to provide certain documentation to receive full information.

Meet oTHER WAITING CHILDREN

During December we are advocating for twelve children who currently wait for families. We appreciate any time you take to get to know these children and consider whether your family, or a family you know, could be theirs.
