Regardless of the agency or county you plan to work with, this education is one of the first steps to fostering or adopting children from Minnesota foster care.
Children’s Home is a contracted provider through the State of Minnesota. We provide the required education for families who choose to work with any of the six contracted agencies: Ampersand Families, Children’s Home Society of Minnesota, Evolve Family Services, Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, Nexus-Kindred Family Healing, or North Homes.

Couples may take an education course together or pursue it separately. Either way, each participant must attend the entirety of their chosen track. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate of training which is valid for five years.

All education options will provide you with access to our online learning management system which includes optional additional learning opportunities and access to a community chat so you can stay connected to other participants.
