Hello! We are Jesse and Garrett from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and we are so incredibly thrilled to share our story with you. Our hearts are overflowing with love, joy, and anticipation as we embark on this beautiful journey to grow our family through adoption.

Having met at a work conference while living in different parts of the country, we quickly found an invisible string pulling us toward each other, made up of a shared passion for exploring the world, embracing new experiences, and building a life filled with connection. Be it our passion for our careers, our everyday routines, or our grandest adventures; we approach life as a team, always supporting and lifting each other up. Our relationship is our anchor, providing a foundation of stability, resilience, and laughter as we begin to expand our family.

We’ve built a life together founded on deep love, mutual respect, and shared adventures, and we are so excited to open our home and our hearts to a child. We dream of a future filled with laughter, learning, and endless love, and we hope you’ll feel that warmth as you get to know us.

A Little About Jesse

Growing up as the youngest of four on my family’s farm in central Illinois, I was instilled with creativity, hard work, and a sense of adventure from a young age. Whether tending to the family garden, mowing my own nature trails, farming with my grandpa, or chasing wild critters and farm animals, I was constantly driven to learn, explore, and create.

My fondest childhood memory is the summers spent with family at our pool. I worked hard to put myself through college and was able to merge my love for agriculture and the land with my passion for creativity in my career as an agriculture marketing manager. I also apply my creativity at home, having fully renovated our house using the carpentry skills my dad passed down to me in his shop. I pour my heart into everything I do, and when not working, you’ll often find me in the garden, hitting a home run in softball, hosting dinners, hiking a local trail, or enjoying a casual evening on the patio. Creating a warm and inviting home is a deep passion of mine, and I am excited to share our skills and traditions by welcoming a child into the thoughtfully crafted home we’ve made.

A Little About Garrett

I was also raised on a farm, but in south Mississippi, where I learned the importance of good manners, hard work, and treating others with kindness. That upbringing shaped my core values of respect, hospitality, and finding joy in life’s simple moments. Throughout my career and personal journey, I’ve followed many paths, each one teaching me something new. I’ve worked across different areas of agriculture, faced challenges, and discovered what truly matters to me: growth, connection, and adventure.

Today, I’m grateful to live a life I love—one filled with travel, learning, and embracing new experiences. Whether I’m exploring a new city, trying to learn a new language, or cheering on one of Jesse’s latest hobbies, I stay curious and excited about what’s ahead. More than anything, I believe in loving others, staying open to learning, and making the most of each day. I can’t wait to share that spirit with a child by teaching them about the world, encouraging their dreams, and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Family means the world to me, and I’m so excited to grow ours through adoption.

Our Lives

Our home in South Minneapolis is more than just where we live — it’s where our hearts are. Tucked into a diverse and friendly, tree-lined neighborhood, our house is filled with warmth, laughter, and love which we enjoy sharing with our chosen family here in the Twin Cities. It’s a cozy, welcoming space with a fenced-in yard where we imagine a child playing freely, helping Jesse in the garden, or chasing bubbles on a sunny afternoon.

We’ve built a life rooted in togetherness and community with our patio and pizza oven being a go-to stop for friends and family during the summer and fall. We love walking to the nearby lakes, exploring farmers markets, and enjoying local restaurants. Our neighborhood is rich in culture and diversity, filled with parks, music, and people who know and care for each other. Inside our home, we’ve created a space meant for connection including shared meals around the table, quiet moments in the sun on the patio, and joyful play that fills every corner. More than anything, we’ve made it a place where a child will always feel safe, celebrated, and unconditionally loved.

Our Commitment

We are committed to an open adoption, understanding that it provides the best foundation for a child’s well-being and identity. We believe that open adoption is a beautiful way to ensure your child knows their story, understands where they come from, and has the opportunity for connection with their birth family. We are open to various forms of contact with the birth family, whether it be letters, photos, phone calls, or visits, and we are excited to build a relationship that feels comfortable and meaningful for everyone involved. We are dedicated to honoring your role and presence in your child’s life, and we are eager to create a relationship built on trust, respect, and mutual understanding.

Our Future Family

When we welcome a child into our family, they can expect a home filled with warmth, love, understanding, and laughter. We value kindness, curiosity, and celebrating each other for who we are. Life with us will include cozy bedtime stories, walks by the lake, lots of time spent outdoors playing, gardening, exploring, and adventures near and far. We’ll be hands-on, encouraging creativity, learning, and fun. Our child will grow up surrounded by love from us, our extended family, and our tight-knit community. Most of all, they’ll be cherished every single day, knowing they belong, feel safe, and are deeply and unconditionally loved.
