Hello! It’s wonderful to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We’re very excited to grow our family through adoption and appreciative of your consideration. We believe in choosing our family, which gives adoption such special meaning to us. We hope to build a relationship with you, our child’s first family, rooted in openness and honesty, and create something in which everyone feels proud to belong.

We Believe…

…in our child knowing where they came from, and about their first family.

…in forgiveness and understanding, and assuming everyone has good intent.

…all people deserve respect and kindness, no matter their background.

…in loving hard and showing up for each other.

…in learning from our mistakes and being kind to ourselves.

…there’s always time to be silly and find the joy in anything.

…in being curious, and exploring the world around us.

We’re ready to provide a child a warm, loving home, where we sometimes eat in the living room and don’t mind a little dog hair on our clothes.

Who Are We?

We’re Amanda, Andrew, and Sam (dog)! We love spending time with one another, whether it’s going to a concert, taking in a play, venturing on road trips, or just cuddling up on the couch for a movie and homemade popcorn.

Amanda enjoys cooking, gardening, boxing, decorating, photography, animals, beaches, suspenseful movies and books, deep conversation, and spreadsheets.

Andrew appreciates…

  • her sense of humor
  • her unwavering care and support
  • how she encourages me to be myself and never judges
  • her intelligence and foresight
  • her calm in a crisis

Andrew enjoys playing and watching hockey, home renovation, woodworking, movies of all genres, napping, long conversations too far into the night, and seeing other places.

Amanda appreciates…

  • his sense of humor
  • the way he sing- songs through the house
  • the way he shows up for his family, no matter what
  • his dedication to his health and learning new things
  • how many nicknames he can come up with for Sam

Sam (the dog) is a very sneaky, very loving senior dachshund. Even when Sam gallops through mud and leaves paw prints all over the floors, he manages to steal our hearts and all the treats. He’s no stranger to hiding pizza and chicken wings in his bed, and hopes he can teach all his best tricks to our child and they become partners-in-crime.

Our Passions

We love being active and getting our hands dirty. We really enjoy doing projects together, which is great, since we’ve been renovating our home for 5 years. Andrew is becoming a jack-of-all-trades in construction, and Amanda a master decorator and gardener. We’re constantly building new planter boxes for all the plants Amanda brings home.

We’ve learned a ton about what we love and what not to do, and now help our friends and families design, renovate, and avoid pitfalls in their homes between our seemingly infinite projects.

We also enjoy being in new places and seeing the world. As history and architecture enthusiasts, we love to explore different countries and cultures, and anxiously await being able to discover the world with our future child and make unforgettable memories. Hopefully they like museums and sand!

Our Home

We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a mature neighborhood. We’re close to several schools, within walking distance of some great parks, with plenty of kids in the area. Our home has a four-season porch, a large deck and pergola with a dining area, and a big backyard where we spend every minute possible. Our dog Sam loves to roam and soak up the sun, and cool off with naps in the tall, shaded grass.

Our Hope for the Future

We will strive to build a village to support growth and belonging for our child. We hope to have you as part of this child’s village, with an arrangement that’s comfortable for us all, to help them better understand from where they come. Thank you for considering us and we look forward to meeting you.
