Hi, we’re Andy and Kristin! We live in Southeast MN with our three cats Spotty, Willow and Romeo. We’ve been married for almost seven years and just celebrated nine wonderful years together. Our love for each other has only grown with time (and cats), and we can’t wait to share it!

We’ve both felt drawn to the idea of adopting for many years because both of us have adopted family members. Over time we realized it was the right path for our family and we’re extremely excited to become parents! But this is not all about us. It’s important to recognize the parenting journey that you are on. We might not know all the challenges you’re facing, but we know enough to admire the love and dedication you have for your child. Your commitment to giving them the best is truly inspiring.

We also want to demonstrate how committed we are to you and your child. By reading more about us below, we hope you can see our passion for family, excitement about life and parenting, desire to help others, and genuine love for the people around us.

Our Family

Kristin – written by Andy

Kristin is the most caring person I have ever met! Whether it’s spoiling our three cats, providing solutions for any issues that may pop up for friends and family, or supporting those in need, she always finds a way to help people. Typically, you’ll find Kristin at home keeping everything decorated and well-organized, relaxing with a puzzle or book, or doing fun science projects with our nephew Shiloh. She truly is one-of-a-kind and I’m so lucky to call her my partner in life.

Andy – written by Kristin

Andy is easily the best guy I’ve ever met. I know I’m biased but ask anyone he knows, and they’ll say the same thing! He is an incredibly supportive spouse, friend, brother, son, uncle, and more. He goes out of his way to show kindness to others and make emotional connections with the people he cares about. He’s a great role model and mentor to our nephew, loves spending time with him, and can deftly turn conflict into teachable moments. Andy loves his job and his clients and is a very well-respected member of the community. He loves to be active, whether it’s with community sports/activities, work events, golfing, visiting breweries, or just hanging out with family. Getting to live life with Andy is such a blessing and I’m so excited for him to be a dad!

Our Support System

We are blessed to have an amazing support system of family and close friends (bonus family) around us. Two of those bonus family members are our long-time friend Andria and her son Shiloh. When she was 20, Andria decided to go through with an unexpected pregnancy. As a single mom without a close family network, she relied on her bonus family for a lot. It was important to us that she knew that we would always be by her side helping her and Shiloh however we could.

To make Shiloh feel loved and welcomed in our home, we turned one of our bedrooms into his own space themed room! He loves spending time in there playing with his space shuttles, reading books, and racing his toy cars. He is extremely sweet, and we are so grateful to be able to watch him grow and enjoy childhood.

Along with Andria, Shiloh, and other bonus family, we are each blessed with 3 siblings who can’t wait to be Aunties and Uncles. All of our siblings live close by, so we are fortunate to be able to spend a lot of quality time with our loved ones. We are also very close with Andy’s parents, Nate and Heather, who live nearby as well. The support that they have provided us over the course of our relationship is astounding and we know we can rely on them for anything. On top of that, Andy has a huge extended family who can’t wait to share their love with a new family member!

Our Home

We live in a quiet, diverse suburban neighborhood in Rochester, MN. We bought our ranch-style home 3.5 years ago with the intent to adopt and have a family-friendly home. We have a large backyard that is fully fenced-in and has two big shade trees, a patio, and a brand-new deck. We have 4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms total: Upstairs we have an open floor plan with the main bedroom and nursery, and Shiloh’s room and the guest room are downstairs along with the gym, bar, and family room.

An inside look at our three “fur babies” (Spotty, Romeo, Willow) enjoying one of their many hobbies… napping!

We love getting the opportunity to celebrate holidays with our nephew Shiloh and sharing our tradition of wearing “goofy hats” while opening presents!

Spending quality time with family is very important to us, so we were so excited when we could host this color-themed game night with siblings and their significant others!

We have been fortunate to travel to many amazing places, but nothing was more scenic than our memorable vacation to Lake Tahoe!

Whether it’s a birthday, holiday, or any other celebration, Andy’s extended family is always there to share their love and support!
