We are Timmy and Tucker, thank you for considering us for your adoption plan. Our number one goal is to raise a child in a caring and loving home.

Welcome – Hello, we are Timmy and Tucker. We have always hoped that we would be parents someday. Even before we got married in 2019, we knew that adoption would be part of our journey together. As parents we look forward to teaching values of honesty and strong moral character in a family centered in love. Our goal is to raise a healthy child so they can reach their fullest potential and live a life full of happiness and love.

We hope to include you in the child’s life in whatever way feels most comfortable to you, if that’s the occasional update photo, visits, letters, or something else entirely, we believe openness is best.

A Little About Tucker (by Timmy)

Tucker is the most optimistic person you’ll ever meet. His positive energy is one the of many things about him that I fell in love with. He is a thoughtful and patient person which is why he is such a great teacher and why I know he’ll be a wonderful dad!

He is incredibly passionate about education, and he always found a way to make learning physics and chemistry fun for his students that he used to teach at Chaska High School. Currently he is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota, though he was a teacher for many years. When he’s not studying or teaching, he’s getting involved on campus or playing timpani for a local community symphony.

I know parenting will come naturally to him since he knows so much already about how to nurture creativity and growth in children. I’m the luckiest man in the world to call Tucker my husband and I’m excited for the day when he can be both a husband and dad.

A Little About Timmy (by Tucker)

Timmy is a fun-loving energetic guy! When we met, it did not take me long to know that he would be my life partner. He is a very skilled engineer and an even better husband. I believe Timmy to be the most thoughtful person in my life; he pays attention to the little things.

When at home, Timmy enjoys spending his time cooking and baking. He’s especially skilled in recreating my favorite recipes that I enjoyed as a kid. He also enjoys reading science fiction books, tinkering on various projects around the house, creating things that are useful and repurposing old electronics.

I know Timmy is going to make a great dad! Timmy will ensure that any child under our care will have the best childhood possible. He will think of every different way that our child can be cared for best and make sure that happens. Timmy’s love and compassion is endless and is ready to be poured into all that comes with raising a child. I am so excited for the day that he can be a father!

Family and Community

Family is one of the most important things to us. We come up with any excuse to hang out as a family because we enjoy the quality time spent together. We frequently visit our parents, sisters, siblings-in-laws, and nibblings. We enjoy celebrating holidays, camping, and just random fun times as a family.

We have a wonderful network of support with our community at Northeast United Methodist Church. Tucker is the choir director and volunteers with the worship music on the drums. Timmy is on the Servant Leadership Board as the treasurer and is also leading the charge for NEUMC to become part of the Reconciling Ministries Network. Whenever the time comes for us to welcome a new member into our family they will be loved by many more than just us.

Hobbies and Traditions

We enjoy doing a lot of things together, but we also have our individual passions. Some things we enjoy doing together include playing board games, adventuring outdoors, cooking, and laughing. Timmy enjoys general tinkering, making and repairing things that are useful and staying active by running. Timmy likes to joke that Tucker’s hobby is having hobbies, while Tucker likes to think of it as liking to try new things. Tucker has many hobbies, some of them are nurturing plants, cross-stitching, wood carving, 3D printing, dog training, and playing handbells in Ring Out, the Minneapolis Queer Handbell Choir.

We think it is important to find the bright spots in life and to celebrate that light. We love doing this by celebrating old traditions and by finding new traditions to begin. Some of our favorites are starting the camping season on Memorial Day Weekend, camping all through the summer and closing out the camping season in October.

Other fun traditions we have include making homemade apple cider in the fall and celebrating holidays with good food and even better company.
