Meet Playful Brothers Who Love to Be Outside: Children waiting this December

December 20, 2018 by Staff Contributor

The back of the heads of two brothers who are waiting for a loving adoptive family. These playful brothers are waiting in Asia for a loving, adoptive home.

K, the 10 year old, is enrolled in second grade and known as a playful, clever boy who learns quickly. He is learning basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, reading and telling time. He enjoys eating snacks and seafood. K likes to spend his time outside playing various sports, skipping rope or running. His favorite activities include playing with remote-controlled toys or video games. He has good self-care skills and gets along well with other children. He likes to hang out with his brother and another boy in the orphanage and will often be found leading the group.

X, the 8 year old, is playful but is known to be stubborn at times. Though he avoids candy because he is afraid of tooth decay, he enjoys fruit, sausage, corn and seafood. X takes his own initiative to help with chores and has good self-care skills. He is enrolled in preschool and learning basic math problems, colors and shapes. He likes to help the teachers pass out snacks and cake. He enjoys reading cartoon books and even completing his homework. Just like his brother, X likes to be outside playing in the park—running and skipping rope—or playing video games.

These brothers have been in care for four years. Prior to that, they were raised by their grandparents. They have a blood condition that is managed through daily medication but have no other health concerns.

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

All applicants must be at least 30 years old. For heterosexual married couples, there can be no more than 50 years’ difference between the youngest parent and the child. Single women are eligible and cannot have more than 45 years’ difference between themselves and the child. Applicants cannot have serious physical or behavioral health concerns. Eligibility requirements vary so please inquire to discuss individual circumstances and eligibility.
