Community Closet

CH/LSS Community ClosetHelp Brighten a Child’s Day!

Over 10,000 children experienced foster care in Minnesota last year. We want to ensure that as many children as possible receive extra love during a difficult time. This is where you come in!

By purchasing items from our wishlist, or hosting a donation drive, you are letting kids experiencing foster care in our community know that someone is thinking of them and cares.

Kids who are a part of the foster care system often enter care with whatever can be carried. It is common for belongings to be tossed into trash bags for transport. Here at CH/LSS, we think children deserve better, so we created the Community Closet. Thank you for visiting our page!

Our Community Closet serves individuals & families using our services, this includes:

Foster Families who take in children with little information or time to prepare.

Emergency Shelter Care Providers expanding beyond what they were prepared for.

Relative/Kinship Caregivers who need help meeting licensing requirements, including having necessities like beds and proper fire extinguishers.

Expectant Parents, whether they make an adoption plan or not, who need basic care items for a new child and/or child(ren) in their care.

Youth residing in Minnesota Foster Care are served through our Child-Recruitment Services. This includes youth who may be aging out of care without permanency/adoption.

Families with Lower-Incomes adopting children from Minnesota Foster Care.
