Home / County Services Available

County Services Available

Hi County Worker! Thanks for considering making a referral for services to Children’s Home and LSS. We look forward to partnering with you!

Our Services

Child-Specific Recruitment | Through the Public Private Permanency Collaboration (PPPC) contract, our agency can work with referred youth through Child-Specific Recruitment Services. All youth referred must be registered on the State Adoption Exchange (SAE) prior to us beginning our work with them. In addition, there must have been a relative/kinship search completed according to the policies and procedures required by statute.

If you have any questions about these requirements, or any other aspects of Child-Specific Recruitment, please contact Lyla Ronchak at [email protected] or 651.255.2275.

Family Finding Search | FREE family finding search for any child in foster care that needs a permanency option (pre- or post-TPR). This service is available through our PPAI contract. We can provide you with an exhaustive list of accurate contact information fo those related to the child’s birth parents. Our Family Finding Search services have been successful in identifying permanency resources and re-establishing birth family contact for youth in care!

Questions or want to make a referral? Contact at [email protected] or 651.255.2275

Family Support Coach | A service for reunified, foster and adoptive families who need additional support. Our coach will meet with your family to provide individualized parent coaching and help identify and access resources you may need. The service includes an initial phone consultation and up to three sessions virtual or in-person (Twin Cities Metro). Ongoing “tune-up” sessions are available as needed. Foster Care | We have licensed foster care providers throughout the state of Minnesota. If your county needs placement for a child, please send referrals to: [email protected].

Please ensure your county agrees to pay our agency’s daily administrative rate before sending a placement request. Questions about the billing aspect of foster care placements? Contact [email protected].

Relative/Kinship Services | Our agency can work with and support relative/kin families intending to care for a child known to them that are referred to us by counties. We provide personalized support through the application, home study, foster care licensure, and if applicable, post-placement process.

For us to utilize our PPAI contract for these services, the child or sibling group the relative/kin is being referred needs to already have a termination of parental rights. If termination has not yet occurred, at least one child needs to be 8 years of age or older. If this is not the case, there may be other options for us to provide services for your county.

Questions? Contact [email protected].

If not, or if there are any additional questions, please contact Lyla Ronchak at [email protected] or 651-255-2275.
