Our Services
Our Child-Specific Recruitment Services are designed to help kids – especially thoes who face challenges finding a permanent family – connect with loving, affirming and supportive families.
Under the Public Private Permanency Collaboration (PPPC) through Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), Children’s Home can provide referred children Child-Specific Recruitment Services at no cost to referring counties or tribal services.
Couple requirements:
- The child must be registered on the State Adoption Exchange (SAE)
- A relative/kinship search must be completed, if you need assistance we can potentially provide Family Finding Search services, please contact Lyla Ronchak.

We will provide you with an exhaustive list with accurate contact information. Our services have been successful in identifying permanency resources and re-establishing birth family contacts for kids in care!

*Under the Public Private Permanency Collaboration (PPPC) through Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), Children’s Home can provide Family Finding Search Services at no cost to referring counties or tribal services.
Our coach will meet with the family to provide individualized parent coaching and help identify and access resources. The service includes an initial phone consultation and up to three sessions virtual or in-person (Twin Cities Metro). Ongoing “tune-up” sessions available if needed.
Open to all foster or adoptive families, regardless of licensing or placing agency.
Service fee is $350 for up to 3 sessions, $100 per additional session. If fees are a barrier, our Adoption Support Fund may be able to provide a grant.

We can provide specialized and supportive Relative/Kinship Services referred by your county. Our services include personalized application support, home study, foster care licensure and if applicable – post placement.
Under the Public Private Permanency Collaboration (PPPC) through Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF), Children’s Home can provide Relative/Kinship Services s at no cost to referring counties or tribal services. If termination of parental rights has not yet occured, at least one child must be age 8 or older. If this criteria is not met, there may be options, please connect with us.

Relative/Kin Referral FormWe’d be happy to partner with your county to complete Social Medical Histories. We collaborate with others to gather information, ensure the social medical history is thorough, current and complete as required by the commissioner.
