Dajuan is a sports-loving 16-year-old who is known for his great sense of humor and his thoughtfulness. His unique blend of athletic and artistic talents means he has a wide range of interests and activities that he spends time engaging in. From playing basketball and video games to drawing and making origami, he is happiest when he is being active and creative.
Although Dajuan can be a bit shy when meeting new people, once he gets to know someone and builds trust, he loves to joke around and be silly. While Dajuan is still unsure of what his future might hold, he is looking forward to finding his forever family. A two-parent home that can provide plenty of one-on-one attention and supervision would be ideal for Dajuan. It’s will be important that Dajuan’s forever family be full of energy and enjoy physical activity as much as he does!
Dajuan is a funny, kind, and thoughtful kid. He would be a great addition to a family because he likes to build relationships and share his interests with others. -Sara Jeske, Child Specific Recruiter
A forever family for Dajuan means a lifetime of love, patience, and support. He has struggled with some subjects in school so it will be important for his parents to provide the tools he needs to succeed along with plenty of encouragement and support. Dajuan is also very impressionable so it will be important to monitor his friendships and other relationships. Parents who can help guide him towards positive decision-making skills and have open and non-judgmental conversations will help Dajuan navigate this important time in his late teens and early adulthood.
As a young black man, Dajuan needs a family who will help keep him connected to people of color in the community. Finding service providers of the same race will also be beneficial to help him stay rooted in and connected to his racial and cultural identity
“Dajuan is a funny, kind, and thoughtful kid,” says his Child Specific Recruiter, Sara. “He would be a great addition to a family because he likes to build relationships and share his interests with others.”
