CJ is an energetic, creative, and curious 7-year-old with a big personality and lots of love to give. He has a great sense of humor and can always make those around him laugh and smile.
CJ expresses his creativity in a variety of ways, from making art projects to rapping! Many of his favorite songs are from the musical Hamilton. When he needs to let out some energy you can find him running around outside playing soccer and football.
CJ is curious by nature and loves learning about animals by reading and watching videos. His favorite animals are dogs and dinosaurs, and he gets excited to share all of the fun facts he’s learned!
While CJ has a bright and spirited personality, he does have some difficulty regulating his emotions and expressing his negative emotions in healthy ways. At times it can be challenging for him to be around children who exhibit bad behaviors because he tends to mimic those behaviors. Over time, CJ has improved drastically when it comes to communicating his feelings and his needs to the adults in his life, but this is something he is still working on and will need patience and guidance with.
CJ is a great kid! He has a big personality and lights up a room. You will have to try hard to not let him win you over!
“CJ would thrive in a family that can help him establish healthy routines and talk openly about his positive behaviors and how to improve behaviors that he struggles with,” says his Child Specific Recruiter Reina. An ideal family for CJ is one who maintains an active lifestyle, enjoys CJ’s silly side, and can foster his desire to learn. He would do best in a two-parent home where he is the youngest child and has a consistent schedule and routines. CJ identifies as African American and it will be important for his future family to help him keep connected to this part of his identity and culture.
“CJ is a great kid!” says Reina. “He has a big personality and lights up a room. He loves to be active and challenge himself. You will have to try hard to not let him win you over!”
