Meet Ari: A Funny and Loyal 16-Year-Old

July 15, 2026 by Staff Contributor

Arianna, or Ari, is 16 years old and is a funny, loyal and hard-working teen. Being outside, spending time with friends and indulging in boba tea are all things that bring a smile to Ari’s face. In school, she enjoys art class, being around her peers and one day hopes to become a nurse. Outside of school, Ari enjoys doing arts and crafts, going on walks, listening to music, playing video games and recently began playing pickleball.

“Ari would thrive best in a family located in the metro area. A two-parent or single female home would be ideal for Ari and older youths in the home be okay,” says her child specific recruiter Hayley Persons. Ari does well with pets and loves dogs, cats and reptiles. An ideal family day for Ari would be enjoyed outside going for a walk, going shopping, getting Chipotle and boba tea and ending the day watching a movie together.

“Ari is amazing at advocating for herself. However, it is important that her future family provider her with consistency, structure and patience,” says Hayley. A family must also be willing to maintain therapeutic services and be willing to access any other necessary services Ari may need.

The best way a family can support Ari is by getting to know her. “It is important for Ari to find a family that is patient with her, makes sure she feels supported as she enters into adulthood and is committed to her forever” says Hayley. Ari does have siblings that are important to maintain relationships with. A family for Ari must be committed to scheduling visits to ensure these connections remain strong. “Ari is a youth with a big heart, is deeply loyal and would make a great addition to the right family,” says Hayley.

Details to Note
Due to contracts with the MN Department of Children, Youth and Families, the cost of adopting a child from Minnesota foster care is virtually free to families.
