Meet Brayden, a ninth-grader who loves math, video games, being out in nature, and playing Magic the Gathering cards.
Whenever Brayden finds something really interesting, he will gladly put his full effort into it! He enjoys it when he is given the opportunity to work on projects and assignments independently. In addition to his interest in math, he also enjoys STEM classes, building with Legos, doing origami, learning about science, doing puzzles, and being outside. He always has a fun fact to share about something new he’s learned.
Brayden is a kind, helpful, creative, and curious teenager. He is a thoughtful young person who likes to read National Geographic and learn about nature and wildlife. Unlike some teenagers his age, Brayden is always willing to offer to help clean up, without anybody saying anything!
When thinking about his forever home, Brayden expresses a preference for a more rural setting. He would be happy in a two-parent home without other kids, although pets are OK.
It is important to Brayden that he be able to maintain birth family relationships with his grandmother and birth father. His future forever family would need to be open to helping Brayden navigate these relationships and be open to talking with him about them.
Any potential family for Brayden should be aware that they will likely need to utilize outside professions to ensure that Brayden is receiving support to help him be successful. It is also likely that a family would need to be involved in some of these services with Brayden.
Although Brayden can struggle with connecting with others at times, he enjoys building one-on-one connections with people who enjoy being around him. The best way to start off a connection with Brayden is to start conversations about some of his interests or favorite facts. Brayden is a really great kid who would bring so much to a family!
