Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us. We are so excited to share a little of our lives with you. We hope by looking through our pictures and reading about our lives that you can clearly envision who we are, our love for each other, and the parents we strive to be. We are so excited to grow our family through adoption. What a privilege it is to be considered by you; we do not take that honor lightly!

Our bond is rooted in friendship. We met through mutual friends in 2015, and over time, our connection deepened as we discovered shared passions like hiking, fishing, live music, and cooking at home. As the years went by, our love blossomed and evolved, leading to our marriage in 2021, celebrated in an intimate ceremony with our closest family and friends.

Together with Owen’s mom and stepdad, we have a dynamic blended family that we are raising Owen (13) in. We believe the unique challenges and joys of navigating the complexities of co-parenting have helped prepare us for the adoption journey we are on.

We knew early on that we wanted to expand our family. All three of us have abundant love that we cannot wait to share. Traditional methods of growing our family are not possible for us, and adoption resonates best with our family values.

Meet Brad…

Brad serves as a City Manager in the Twin Cities metro area and is deeply committed to fostering strong teams that help to build a strong community and provide for a high quality of life. Beyond his professional and family commitments, he is an avid reader focused on self-improvement and possesses a deep love for nature and outdoor activities.

Meet Laura…

Laura works as a Continuous Improvement Manager and shares a similar passion for guiding and uplifting individuals through hard changes that improve their work and personal lives. Outside of her job and family life, Laura enjoys refining her photography skills, nurturing her houseplants and garden, and caring for animals.

Meet Owen…

Owen, a middle schooler, loves sports, video games, reading, and cuddling with family and pets. He is the kindest kid you’ll ever meet, always first to checkup on a teammate who has taken a spill or give a hug if you’re feeling blue. He is so excited to be a big brother and thoroughly enjoys being part of a large, loving family.

Our Family…

As a family, we place a high value on experiences and creating memories. Some of our favorite shared adventures include exploring the ocean floor with stingrays in Mexico, visiting Badlands, Voyageurs, and Everglades National Parks, and camping together in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area.

We are a non-denominational family observing Christian holidays, committed to living by our values and making a positive impact in the world.

As parents, our goal is to provide our children with a safe and nurturing home where they have the freedom to grow, learn from experience, and discover their identity while receiving unconditional love throughout their journey.

We prioritize exposing our children to as many new experiences and cultures as we can. Whether that is going to a new restaurant or traveling to a new country and everything in between, we believe in the value of learning from the world around us to help us lead with kindness, tolerance, and equity.

Animals are a huge part of our family. Laura and Brad both grew up on farms and have a deep love and respect for animals that has been passed on to Owen. Our cat Bella and dog Nakita are not just pets; they are integral to our daily lives and bring us immense joy. We deeply love animals and can’t imagine life without them. Their presence fills our home with warmth and happiness.

We are committed to openness, learning, and partnership. We will welcome our future child warmly and raise them with honesty, trust, and unconditional love. We promise to be attentive and supportive parents through life’s highs and lows. We will cherish our memories, celebrate common interests, and honor our children’s unique qualities. We will care for, advocate for, and support our children every day, especially during tough times. We promise to always love our children, no matter what.

We know this decision cannot be easy for you, and we admire your strength and love for your child in considering an adoption plan. We cannot thank you enough for taking the time to get to know us and consider us as you make such an important decision.
