Hi there! We’re Cameron and Jason. Thank you for being here.

First and foremost, we want to express our sincere gratitude for taking the time to learn about us. We know that considering adoption is an incredibly personal and courageous decision. While we can’t imagine everything you may be feeling, we deeply admire your strength and want you to know that we are committed to creating a loving, stable, and supportive home for any child we are lucky enough to raise.

We’re excited about becoming dads and building a family together—one grounded in love, connection, and mutual respect.

Our Story

We met in the fall of 2019 while living in the Twin Cities. Interestingly, although we’re both from the same small town, we had never crossed paths until a dating app brought us together. After our first date, we quickly discovered how much we had in common, and a strong connection formed almost immediately.

Just five months later—thanks in part to the pandemic and working from home—we made the decision to move in together. After a year and a half, we sold our individual homes and bought our first house together in Farmington. In 2021, Cameron proposed to Jason, and we were married in August of 2023.

Shortly after our wedding, we began pursuing our shared dream of adoption. In 2024, we moved to Cambridge to be closer to family and settle into a home where we hope to raise children. We share our life with two sweet dogs: Dash (a Yorkie-Poodle) and Moose (a Miniature Schnauzer), both of whom are great with kids.

Our Hope as Parents

We believe in an authoritative parenting style—a balance of warmth, consistency, and guidance. Communication, trust, and emotional safety are central to how we’ll raise our children. We want our future child(ren) to feel truly seen and heard.

We also deeply value each child’s unique identity and cultural background. We are committed to helping them grow with a strong sense of self and pride in where they come from. If we’re chosen to parent a child of a different cultural or racial background, we’ll actively incorporate their heritage into our daily lives, traditions, books, toys, foods, and community connections.

We believe open adoption can be incredibly meaningful and are supportive of maintaining contact with the birth family when possible and in the child’s best interest. Our goal is to ensure that a child knows their story, feels connected, and grows up surrounded by love from many sides.

Our Home and Community

We live in Cambridge, MN, in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood surrounded by trees. Our three-bedroom, two-bathroom home was built in 2021, and we’re in the process of finishing the basement to create more living space and another bedroom and bathroom.

Our home has a large yard, room to play, and lots of nearby trails for dog walks and outdoor fun. For school, we’re in the Cambridge-Isanti district, but since Cameron teaches in Mora, our plan is to have our future children attend Mora Public Schools, where they’ll receive a great education and be part of a nurturing environment.

A Typical Day in Our Life

During the week, we both work full time—Cameron as a special education teacher, and Jason as a program director at a group home for individuals with mental health needs. Our work is meaningful to us and reflects our values of care and patience.

Evenings are spent enjoying dinner together (Cameron loves cooking and trying new recipes), walking the dogs, watching a show or movie, or playing card or board games. Jason usually handles laundry while Cameron cleans up the kitchen—a well-balanced team!

Weekends are often filled with family time, game nights with friends, or outings to a movie, concert, or local play. We love laughter, connection, and making memories with those we care about.

About Cameron (written by Jason)

Cameron is one of the most patient, kind-hearted people I’ve ever met. As a teacher, he brings an incredible level of understanding, compassion, and structure to his work—and I know he’ll bring the same to parenting. He has a great sense of humor, a deep love for his family, and an ability to find joy in everyday moments. He’s the kind of person who will read bedtime stories with silly voices, attend every school play, and cheer on our child in everything they do. He loves cooking, taking walks, and spending quality time with our nieces, nephews, and friends. I can’t wait to raise a family with him.

About Jason (written by Cameron)

Jason is one of the most genuinely caring people I know. Coming from a large, close-knit family, he’s always been someone who shows up for the people he loves. He’s empathetic, thoughtful, and naturally nurturing. He has a gift for working with people who need support, and he brings that same warmth and understanding into our home every day. Jason enjoys shopping, playing games, and connecting with new people. He’s my best friend, my biggest supporter, and I know without a doubt he’ll be an incredible father.

Our Support System

Our families are a huge part of our lives.

Cameron has two sisters and is a proud uncle to four kids. His parents (and step-parent) are all incredibly supportive and involved.

Jason comes from a large family—he’s the fourth of twelve siblings! His parents are still together, and family gatherings are a joyful (and often loud) celebration.

We also have a wonderful group of close friends who are like extended family. From game nights and holiday parties to casual backyard hangouts, we’re surrounded by people who love us—and are excited to welcome a child into our circle.

Final Thoughts

Thank you again for considering us. We know this decision is not easy, and we are truly honored to be considered as adoptive parents. If chosen, we promise to love your child unconditionally, support their dreams, and raise them in a home that’s filled with warmth, laughter, and security.

No matter what you decide, we wish you peace and strength as you navigate this journey.

With all our hearts,
Cameron & Jason
