Children in Home: None

Child Ethnicity: African American, Asian, Caucasian, East Indian, Hispanic/Latino, Native American

Hi! We are Marcie and Joe from the Twin Cities metro area. Thanks for taking the time to visit our page. We are excited to add to our family through adoption. We have been married since 2014 and come from big extended families. Between the two of us we have five siblings and thirteen nieces and nephews. We live in a family-friendly diverse neighborhood with our adopted cat, Skylar.

About Joe

Joe is from WI and grew up on his grand-parent’s farm, which his parents still operate today. He has an older sister and younger brother, with six nieces and nephews. He has three Godchildren. Joe’s relationships with his nieces and nephews are very important to him. Joe makes a point to spend time with them and always listens when they want to talk. Some of Joe’s favorite things to do include photography, travel, listening to music and running. Joe is a Photographer and Video Producer.

About Marcie

Marcie is from South Dakota and moved to Minnesota in 1987. Her family is very tight-knit and live near us. Marcie’s favorite things to do are camping, hosting dinner parties, exploring new cities, yoga and swimming in the ocean. Marcie is an animal lover and has adopted several cats and one dog over the years. Her passions in life are psychology and holistic wellness. She works as a Mental Health Therapist.

Our Neighborhood

We own a 3 bedroom home in a quiet and diverse neighborhood. We have great neighbors. On any given day, you will see kids riding their bikes, throwing footballs and playing soccer in the street. We are in walking distance of several parks which include areas to swing, slide or to play tennis, softball, hockey and basketball.

What we do for fun

We love to travel, attend concerts, and check out new places to eat. Our favorites are: Indian, Mexican and Thai. Spending time with family and friends is a priority! We enjoy getting outdoors to camp, kayak, hike and bike. Recent travels include trips to Arizona, South Carolina and Georgia. We have many traditions including celebrating holidays with our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. We keep it casual and just have fun.

The future

We want our children to have lots of meaningful connections and purpose in life. We hope to foster an environment that encourages adventure, creativity, and open-mindedness. We will take our children to many of our childhood favorites: from camping to trips including the Black Hills, Yellowstone and abroad. Since Joe’s parents and brother still live on the farm, there will be opportunities to feed calves, pet the farm cats, explore the fills and enjoy tractor rides with Grandpa Joe.

Our promise to you!

We promise to offer a loving, safe and encouraging home. We are open to your involvement in whatever manner works best for everyone. We want our child to know you, share a bond, and know that love is what unites a family.

This journey is a blessing. We are excited for the future and growing our family. Thanks again for taking a few minutes to learn about us and we look forward to meeting you!
