Ryan and Brodo

Matched

Home Location: Twin Cities Metro

Family Status: Couple without children

Children in Home: None

Child Ethnicity: African American, Asian, Caucasian, East Indian, Hispanic/Latino, Native American

Hello there!  We are Ryan and Brodo from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

We are a couple who are always striving to grow, evolve, and become better human beings. Each day, we work to find balance between the challenges of life and the small moments that keep us connected and moving forward.

We are far from perfect, and we believe that’s what makes our relationship so special. The contrast between our personalities creates space for growth, laughter, and a deeper understanding of one another as we build a life—and a family—together.

As two men, we cannot have biological children together, but we have so much love to give. That love has guided us to the path of adoption. The idea of sharing our lives, our support, and our unconditional love with a child fills us with excitement and purpose.

We don’t claim to know everything about being parents—but we are ready to learn, grow, and create meaningful experiences every step of the way. We are committed to becoming the best versions of ourselves for this child and are incredibly excited to begin this journey.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us—it truly means so much.

How We Met

We met in 2020 through a dating app. At the time, Ryan was preparing to move from Chicago to Minneapolis, and Brodo was beginning to build his life in the United States.

Our first meeting was on a beautiful fall evening on a rooftop, sitting by a fireplace. We talked about our lives, our goals, and our families. We laughed, connected deeply, and felt completely at ease. That night turned into something special—and since then, we haven’t spent another night apart.

We are endlessly grateful that life brought us together, and every day since has been part of a story we’re proud to keep writing.

About Ryan (written by Brodo)

Ryan is going to be an incredible dad.

He is an honest and thoughtful communicator—someone who knows how to express himself while respecting and valuing the perspectives of others. He is loyal to his values but always open to learning and growing.

Ryan has a playful and goofy side that brings so much joy to those around him—especially me. He loves to make people laugh and creates a sense of warmth wherever he goes. Family is at the center of everything he does, and every goal he sets reflects that priority.

One of his greatest strengths is his patience. He has taken the time to teach me about American culture and history in ways that made me feel included and supported—like during our trip to Washington, D.C., where he brought history to life for me, or through the traditions we’ve built together, like Christmas mornings full of joy and meaning.

Ryan is hardworking, intelligent, and committed—not just to his career, but to the people around him. I can already picture him building Legos, playing video games, cheering on sports teams, or simply going on errands with our child—always present, always supportive.

He is a beautiful human being, and I know he will be an amazing father.

About Brodo (written by Ryan)

Brodo is confident, self-aware, and always striving to grow. He is driven by a desire to do better, achieve more, and create meaningful opportunities in life.

He brings warmth and strength into every situation, balancing emotion with thoughtful decision-making. He is incredibly loving and dependable—someone who will always show up and provide unwavering support.

As an immigrant who came to the U.S. as an adult, Brodo has built a life full of purpose, resilience, and love. I am so proud of everything he has accomplished and the life we’ve created together.

He cares deeply for his family—one example being how he brought his parents to the U.S. to care for them. His compassion and dedication as a son reflect the kind of father he will be.

He will lead with love, strength, and kindness, and I cannot wait to see him grow in his role as a dad.

Our Home & Community

We live in a quiet suburb of Minneapolis with a county park right in our backyard. We love going on walks with our dogs, talking about our day, and enjoying peaceful moments together.

Our weeks are a mix of work and unwinding together: working out, watching sports, cooking dinner, and sharing about our days. Weekends are for relaxing: movie marathons, good food, home projects, and spending time with family.

We enjoy decorating for holidays—especially Halloween and Christmas—and creating a cozy, warm home. We look forward to making these traditions even more meaningful with a child.

Family

Our families are incredibly excited to welcome a child into our lives.

We both come from loving families who supported us throughout our lives, and we want to provide that same foundation of love, guidance, and connection.

Ryan’s parents live in Michigan, and his sister Nicole lives in North Carolina with her husband and two young children. Brodo’s parents live nearby, allowing us to spend time together regularly. We gather whenever we can—especially during holidays and summer vacations.

Family is everything to us, and our child will grow up surrounded by love, support, and meaningful relationships.

Hobbies & Lifestyle

We love creating a warm, welcoming home and spending quality time together. Whether it’s cooking, watching a movie, or working on home projects, being together is what matters most.

We also love traveling and exploring new places. We are excited about sharing those experiences with a child—whether it’s a big trip to Disney or small everyday adventures.

We look forward to celebrating birthdays, attending school activities, and discovering new hobbies as a family.

Careers

We are grateful to have careers that allow flexibility and balance. Ryan works in a leadership role in finance and works from home several days a week. Brodo also holds a leadership position and works four days per week.

We plan to take time off after welcoming our child home to focus fully on bonding and creating a strong foundation as a family. Each of us has access to parental leave, and we are confident in our ability to balance our professional and family lives.

Our Pets

We have two dogs who are a big part of our family.

Athena is a 4-year-old Saint Bernard—gentle, loving, and always ready for cuddles. Wrigley is a 10-year-old dachshund with a big personality and a love for cozy blankets.

They are both incredibly sweet, and we are excited to see them grow alongside a child.

Something Unique About Us

Ryan was born and raised in Michigan, while Brodo is from Venezuela. Our cultural differences bring so much richness to our relationship.

We are constantly learning from each other—whether it’s language, traditions, or perspectives. Ryan is even learning Spanish, which has led to plenty of funny and meaningful moments.

We are excited to raise a child in a home that celebrates diversity, understanding, and connection.

Closing

We are so grateful for the opportunity to share our story with you.

We are committed to creating a loving, stable, and supportive environment where a child can grow into the person they are meant to be. We believe in leading with love, empathy, and understanding.

We also deeply value the role of birth parents. You will always be an important part of your child’s story, and we are committed to honoring that connection with respect and openness.

Thank you for considering us. We are truly excited about the possibility of building this journey together
