Hi! We’re Zach & Mitch

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. We know that considering adoption is a deeply personal journey, and we are grateful that you are spending a few moments getting to know our family.

Our Story
Our story began eight years ago in Salt Lake City, Utah, where we met, fell in love, and built a life together. In 2021, we moved to Minnesota for work along with our two dogs, Amos and Moose, and our cat, Peter. We got married in 2024 on top of the mountain in Utah where we used to ski, surrounded by our friends and families. Today, we call Birchwood Village home, and we cannot imagine a better place to start our family. Birchwood Village is a small, close-knit community on the south shore of White Bear Lake, filled with young families, mature trees, and located in a wonderful school district.

About Us
Zach grew up in Texas with his older sister and parents. He works in environmental consulting, serves on the city’s Parks and Natural Resources committee, and volunteers at our church. Mitch grew up in Utah with his younger sister, brother, and parents. He works in compliance and risk management at a credit union, serves on a young professionals committee, and volunteers on a board for a local LGBTQ+ committee.

We love spending time outdoors with our dogs. In the summer, we enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, and going to White Bear Lake to swim or kayak. During the winters, you will usually find us skiing, trying new recipes, reading, or working on home projects.

Our Community and Family
One of the things we are most thankful for is our community. Our neighbors have become lifelong friends, our church has welcomed us with open arms, and our families remain an important part of our everyday lives. Our future child will grow up surrounded by friends, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a community ready to love and support them.

Family has always been central to both of us, and we have always dreamed of becoming parents. It is important to us that our home is filled with love, peace, understanding, and acceptance so that our child always feels safe and supported. As parents, we hope to raise a child who knows they are loved exactly for who they are. We want to encourage their curiosity, celebrate their unique personality, and teach them the importance of kindness, respect, generosity, and compassion.

Our Promise
If you choose us, we promise to honor you. We believe it is vital for children to know their background, and we are committed to leading conversations about you with nothing but love, honesty, and respect. We hope to build a relationship that feels right for you, understanding that every adoption journey is unique.

Thank you again for considering our family. We know this decision comes from a place of deep love and courage. No matter what you decide, we genuinely wish you the very best.

Please contact our adoption worker, Lauren, at [email protected] for more information.
