Help Support Children & Families in Ecuador

Ecuadorian boy on a boatOrphanage Assistance

Your support to Ecuador’s Orphanage Assistance project will provide for the urgent needs of vulnerable children that may arise as a result of medical emergencies and natural disasters. In addition to urgent needs that arise, Orphanage Assistance helps to provide in-kind items, funds for medical care, educational resources, and staff training for orphanage partners located throughout Ecuador. Recent contributions have supported COVID-19 testing and care.

La Casa Maria Amor

According to UNESCO, as many as 70 percent of women in Ecuador have experienced violence in their lifetime. Located in Cuenca, Maria Amor is a “shelter for women and children in a space without violence or tension that permits them to develop an evolving process of strategies for a new life free of violence.”

Children’s Home staff have visited the project and experienced firsthand its impact on children and families. Donations to this project support Maria Amor’s efforts to break the cycle of abuse and offer hope to the next generation of children through shelter, health services, skills training, emotional and psychological support.
